A Bit About Me

Hi! I’m Susan, and I’m a Blooming Traveler—and you can be, too!

What’s a Blooming Traveler? Imagine someone who sees travel as more than a getaway, but as a path to self-discovery, growth, and connection. A Blooming Traveler seeks out experiences that deepen their understanding of the world and themselves. We crave meaningful, enriching adventures, whether through solo explorations, cultural immersions, wellness retreats, or bonding with new friends.

Being a Blooming Traveler means that travel isn’t just a break from life—it’s a journey to grow, to “bloom” with each destination. Open-minded and curious, we find beauty in grand vistas and in quiet, subtle moments alike, treasuring experiences that spark creativity, nourish the soul, and build community.

My love for travel began back in college with a study abroad adventure, but it wasn’t until my forties, when I gifted myself the permission to travel solo, that I fully blossomed as a Blooming Traveler. On my own terms—free from the obligations of business travel or the demands of wearing the “mom hat”—I discovered how refreshing and transformative solo travel could be. Moms out there know the drill: carrying the “mom bag” stocked with everything from snacks to tissues, constantly on the lookout for bathrooms and snack stops to avert any emergencies. Traveling solo was my chance to leave that all behind and focus on exploring, experiencing, and reconnecting with myself.

The freedom and joy I found inspired me to create Blooming Traveler, a place where women in mid-life can plan and enjoy trips tailored just for them. Here, I help make your solo travel dreams—or group retreat goals—come true with personalized planning, insider tips, and all the support you need.

Let’s design the perfect journey—one that’s all about you.
